Position - K-8 Music, 5th Band, 6th-8th Band 

One of my favorite things about teaching is getting to daily worship and praise God with my students. It is a joy and a blessing to lift up our voices in song together. It is a privilege to teach them songs for chapels, programs and everyday music that I hope will stay with them for their lives and maybe someday sing with their children and grandchildren. I also enjoy putting together programs, finding just the right song and learning new musical ideas to share with my students. 

Education: BA in Instrumental Music Education from Dordt University, Master in Music Education with a Kodaly Emphasis, Certified in Kodaly Levels I, II, and III, First Steps in Music, Conversational Solfege I and II, World Drumming I

My favorite Bible verse is, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways, acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing for your flesh and a refreshment for your body.” Proverbs 3:5-8
