Joe Dirksen
Greetings to you. I am Joe Dirksen, the Assistant Principal at Hull Christian School. HCS is not new to me. Several years ago I taught Science and History in the Middle School. It is an honor to be back at HCS.
Over the past years I have been a teacher or Principal at several schools including DeMotte Christian in Indiana, Sully Christian, Sioux Center Christian, Hull Christian, Rock Valley Christian in Iowa, and Grace Community School in Texas. I earned my educational degrees from Dordt College and Purdue University in Indiana.
My wife Mary and I have three children who are now living and serving in Pella and Sioux Center, Iowa. We are blessed with five grandsons so our lives are busy and good.
I love serving as a teacher or Principal and partnering with the HCS community to bring a high quality and God-centered education to HCS families. An educational cornerstone Bible verse for me is from Psalm 78: “...I will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.” Each school day is so important, and I am thrilled to serve with the teachers and staff at HCS. I can assure you, each child will be loved and cared for by all the personnel at HCS.
Daily, I will pray for a Spirit-filled school where we can and will all serve our Heavenly Father and give Him thanks for our daily blessings. I will pray that each student at HCS will grow spiritually, academically, socially and physically. A goal I have for our students is for us to build a school community that not only will learn and play together, but one that will laugh, pray and share concerns with one another. May God bless all of us during this upcoming school year.
Psalm 25:5 “...guide me in our truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
